A Time to Give Thanks

Virtues:

Learning from one another is a key element of the virtue of humility. I'm blessed to have so many coaches sharing ideas with me and I hope you feel the same way. Here is a great idea from Todd Naumann to try and implement with your families as we get closer to Thanksgiving.
...

In Ecclesiastes it says there is a season for everything. At this time of the year many of us pause to give thanks for our many blessings. Living in this great country, loving families, enough food to eat, or a roof over our heads... most of us are blessed beyond our wildest imaginations.

I want to share with you an important family tradition in the Naumann home.  In an attempt to teach our children about the virtue of gratitude, my wife Leah made a thanksgiving tree.  Starting with the first day of November our family takes a few minutes each evening at dinner to discuss what we were thankful for that day. My boys Kyle and Caleb, as well as my daughter Kelsey, never cease to amaze me with thoughtfulness.  Out of the mouths of babes come the most profound words! This tradition serves as an opportunity to glorify the Lord, creates quality family time, provides teachable moments for our children, and helps to keep me focused on what is truly important in life.

I want to use this opportunity to tell the world that I am thankful for the SportsLeader program.  SportsLeader and its numerous coaches are using the platform they have been given to make a positive impact on the lives of our young people. The program continues to provide a source of inspiration for many. I pray this holiday season serves as a reminder to each of us about the many gifts in our lives and the responsibility we have to share those blessings with others.

All my best,
Todd Naumann
