SportsLeader would like to introduce our newest member of our Board of Advisors, Matt Birk.

Matt is a former NFL football player drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the sixth round of the 1998 NFL Draft, and later played for the Baltimore Ravens. He played college football at Harvard.

Matt established the HIKE Foundation in 2002, which seeks to "impact the lives of at-risk children by providing interactive programs and resources needed to guide a child through the key educational transitions between elementary, middle, high school and college.”

He received the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in 2011 for his commitment to improving literacy among at-risk youth.

Currently he is the NFL Director of Football Development.

Matt found our materials, methodology and depth to be “exactly what sports needs in our culture right now.”

We thank him for his commitment, time and dedication.
